Opening Ceremony is planting its multihued, animal-print flag in London this week with the opening of its first European outpost, in Covent Garden. The 3,000-square-foot pop-up store at 31-32 King Street — in a former Hackett site — will operate until October, when a larger, permanent unit is set to open a few doors away. The move to London marks the 10-year anniversary of Opening Ceremony, which already has outposts in New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo.

MONTE DELLE TRE CROCI
La storia legata alle tre croci, a quanto si tramanda, ha origine nel 600, quando, i cittadini di Levizzano, per tentare di proteggersi da una grave ondata di peste che minacciava di arrivare da est, eressero una croce sulla sommità di un monte, come estremo baluardo legato alla fede per fermare il contagio al limite del confine orientale del territorio di Levizzano.
La peste, che aveva mietuto migliaia di vittime non oltrepassò il monte e gli abitanti di Levizzano furono salvi ed attribuirono a questo evento un origine prodigiosa e divina.
Da allora il monte fu meta di visite e pellegrinaggi e, quando la croce cadeva per il tempo e le intemperie, veniva sostituita con una di nuovo legno.
Ogni anno, la domenica "In Albis" la popolazione saliva sulla collina dai diversi lati per rinnovare il ricordo dell'evento miracoloso, assistere alla Santa Messa e dopo festeggiare con canti, balli e buoni cibi portati dalle valli. Tuttora esiste un comitato che organizza l'evento e si occupa della manutenzione delle croci della cura del territorio circostante.
Nel 1980 si decise di affiancare alla croce altre due per rappresentare la simbologia del Golgota.
